Man Injured in Shooting at Rodeway Inn in Stephenville

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — An adult male was injured late Thursday night after a firearm discharged while it was being handled during a gathering outside the Rodeway Inn in Stephenville.
The Stephenville Police Department received a call shortly before midnight regarding the incident at the Rodeway Inn, located near Pastafina.
Police reported that the parking lot was occupied by adults who had been drinking and were handling and displaying firearms.
One of the firearms discharged while it was being handled, striking a man in the leg.
The injured man was transported to Texas Health Harris Fort Worth for treatment. He is expected to recover.
No arrests were made in connection with the incident.
