STEPHENVILLE, Texas - Downtown Stephenville will transform into a Christmas wonderland tonight as the Holly Jolly Christmas Festival takes over downtown and surrounding streets from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 8.
This family-friendly event, hosted by the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Stephenville, invites the community to “step into a Hallmark movie” with festive sights, sounds, and activities designed for all ages.

Families can enjoy pictures with Santa, horse-drawn carriage and hay rides, a petting zoo, live nativity, letters to Santa, and a wide variety of Christmas crafts, games, and photo backdrops. Holiday vendors will be set up throughout downtown, and local retailers will remain open, making the evening a perfect opportunity for holiday shopping.
Listeners can enjoy seasonal performances throughout the evening. The Stephenville High School “In The Mix” Choir will sing Christmas carols inside the courthouse at 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., while Tarleton State University’s Saxophone Quartet performs on the Plaza main stage at 6:45 p.m. First Baptist Church will host interactive Crazy Christmas Games on the main stage at 7:35 p.m.

Food options will be plentiful, with vendors offering nachos, tamales, funnel cakes, roasted pecans, popcorn, baked goods, and holiday treats. While most activities are free there will also be local fundraisers and non profits so cash is recommended.
Organizers say the event highlights the spirit of the season by showcasing local youth talent, supporting non-profits, and promoting downtown businesses, while giving families a chance to make lasting holiday memories together.

Street closures will be in effect for safety, including portions of Washington, Graham, Belknap, Mason, College, and Columbia streets. Festivalgoers are encouraged to check the Holly Jolly Facebook event page for updates, performance times, and a street closure map.

The Holly Jolly Christmas Festival is free to attend and open to the public. Organizers encourage families to come out and create new holiday memories while enjoying a festive night downtown, all while supporting local businesses and area non-profit organizations that help make community events like this possible.🎄✨
