The Cowboy Capital of the World Rodeo is set to take center stage in Stephenville from Thursday, September 26 through Saturday, September 28, bringing rodeo action, family fun, and community pride to the heart of Erath County.

The three-day event will feature PRCA rodeo competitions, including bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, and saddle bronc, along with live music, food vendors, and activities for all ages. The Cowboy Capital Pro Rodeo Association is once again partnering with local businesses and volunteers to host what has become one of the region’s most anticipated annual traditions.

Jacobs Crawley, NFR 2015 Saddle Bronc Rider, on Stephenville’s rodeo culture:

“I do not know the exact number, but this county, the Stephenville area, has the highest concentration of card-holding members of anywhere in the country.”

Gates open as early as 9am, with rodeo performances beginning shortly after. Special events throughout the weekend include kids’ mutton bustin’, a calf scramble, and much more.

Stephenville, known nationally as the “Cowboy Capital of the World,” is home to more professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls than anywhere else. The annual rodeo not only showcases local talent but also draws top competitors on the professional circuit.

Tickets are available at Saddle Rags, The Western Store; Capital Hatters; and Chick Elms Grand Entry Western Store, with discounts for children, seniors, or advance purchases.
