Bacon Bash 2025 returns to Cranfills Gap on Saturday, October 18

CRANFILLS GAP, Texas — Bacon Bash Texas is back on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., shutting down the main drag of this Central Texas gem and planting your bacon-lovin’ heart right in front of the famous Horny Toad Bar & Grill. Headlining the music lineup: the Tejas Brothers. Bacon Bash Texas is a nonprofit fundraising event that turns a day of food, music, and community into real help for Texans in need. Proceeds support children living with Type 1 Diabetes, funding scholarships to specialized diabetes camps and providing Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems to families while also backing Niki Warms the Cold, which supplies coats and blankets across the state.
“Since 2012, Bacon Bash Texas has raised more than $939,000 to support children living with Type 1 Diabetes and to provide winter warmth through Niki Warms the Cold. With those funds, we’ve been able to award 83 CGM scholarships and 84 camp scholarships, giving children the tools and experiences they need to manage their diabetes and thrive. Local flavors: Look for regional chefs from all over Erath County and beyond, including The Red Umbrella Bakery (Stephenville) with a Maple Bacon Rum Cake topped with candied bacon and a rum caramel glaze.

Bring a coat or blanket, win a prize
Donate a new or gently used coat or blanket at the gate and you’ll be entered into a raffle for a prize. Items and funds support Niki Warms the Cold’s statewide coat-and-blanket efforts.
About the charities
Niki Warms the Cold: Founded in memory of Cranfills Gap native Niki Carlson, the nonprofit distributes coats and blankets across Texas. Bacon Bash donates a portion of proceeds and hosts an October coat/blanket drive to fund more gear for people in need.
Type 1 Diabetes support:
Camp Scholarships (since 2015): Fully funded by Bacon Bash to send kids with Type 1diabetes to specialized diabetes camps that teach management skills and build peer support.
Dexcom CGM Scholarships: Financial assistance for Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems, enabling remote glucose monitoring and danger-level alerts for parents.
Family & age policy
Children are allowed but not encouraged; there are no children’s activities, and anyone under 21 must be with a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Ages 8–14: $25 ticket, no bar access, must be with a parent/guardian at all times.
Ages 15–20: Must purchase a full-priced adult ticket, no bar access, and must be with a parent/legal guardian at all times.
